Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons).
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
This programme is the combination of two faculties: Health Sciences as well as Science and Engineering to produce products and services of value to society. Biotechnology is applied in processes ranging from cheese production, brewing, and wastewater management, through to drug design and gene therapy. It provides excellent knowledge of modern biotechnology, including molecular biology, and gain experience in research methods, data analysis, instrumentation and information technology and microbiology. This course trains students to work as a professional in one of the most exciting areas of modern science in combination of theoreti cal and specialized practical scientific training with the study of related business, legal, ethical and social issues
PROGRAMME AIM
The aim of this course specifically equips students with the knowledge, skills, competen cies and awareness in preparation for employment in industry and research organiza tions. Professionals are able to work in an innovative research programmes in a wide range of areas like medical, industrial, bioinformatics, environmental, food and agricul tural biotechnology

- Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in 2 subjects or
- Passed Diploma (Level 4 MOH) in related fields; or
- Pass Foundation, Matriculation, Pre-University Program in flow-related or equivalent
